Montreat Cottage

An expansion to a summer cottage provides a separate living space for the owners above an art studio, while younger generations occupy the existing house. A screened porch connects both spaces and is shared as a common area. The open, light-filled rooms provide an ideal family retreat beside a stream, Rhododendron grove and a large Oak tree.
